Administrative Officer C2: Acquisitions (Post Level 12.2) at Stellenbosch University

Duties/Pligte        

• Handling deliveries at the delivery entrance of the SU Library.
• Service and operations related to compact storage, e.g. assisting clients with finding materials in the compact storage.
• Preparing printed journals and newspapers for binding and handling related administration.
• Performing various administrative support tasks in Technical Services.
• Performing various support tasks in the SU Library, as may be required.
• Assisting with the e-resources helpline.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes        

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
• At least two years' proven success in an administrative support role.
• A valid driver's licence.
• Computer literacy, especially the use of Windows¿
• Good judgement and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Client-centeredness.
• The ability to handle the physical requirements of the role.        

Recommendation/Aanbeveling        

• Experience of clerical library work and/or exposure to library practice.
