    Advice Analyst

    Momentum Velocity Club is a brand new and exciting initiative responsible for a new generation of face-to-face financial planning, focusing on a defined market segment (young black professionals & entrepreneurs). The AA (Advice Analyst) will form part of the Advice Hub, a team of professional CFP's, actuaries and other analysts that will be responsible for collaborating with and supporting a team of CSCs (Client Success Consultants) to ensure the delivery of a unique client value proposition. By analysing each individual's unique money issues and life goals, the AA will be responsible for developing a personal financial plan that will enable and support the client to navigate their financial realities and goals.

    What you're going to do

    • Developing high quality financial plans relevant to each client's financial situation and life goals
    • Providing support to CSCs to ensure client growth & retention
    • Collaborate with CSCs to continuously provide clients with best-of-breed financial plans and solutions
    • Execute on product decisions of clients
    • Be able to self-manage and be able to work in a team
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in Momentum Metropolitan

    Responsibilities and work outputs

    • Responsible for analysing and processing our clients' financial information and life goals.
    • Produce a full financial needs analysis based on clients' needs and goals using available tools.
    • Analyse clients' unique financial information to determine the best planning approach, money strategies and
    • solutions for clients.
    • Our intent is to recommend and deliver best-of-breed proposals to help clients to meet their financial needs
    • and goals with regards to cash flow management, budgeting, investment portfolios, retirement planning,
    • personal insurance, estate planning, tax planning, etc. - a holistic set of financial solutions and advice.
    • Adapting to clients' changing needs and financial circumstances by developing and preparing an individualised, suitable, practical and executable financial plan.
    • Protect, secure and grow clients' wealth by providing expert financial advice
    • Do research from time to time to help refine and develop the Velocity Club Planning Houseview (department philosophy).
    • Providing product solutions, where relevant and needed, across a broad spectrum of regulated products offered by the Momentum Metropolitan Group.
    • Ensuring each plan is developed within the guidelines of The Velocity Club's Houseview.
    • Processing of all product quotes using various quotes packages
    • Ensuring all plans are processes are adherent to existing regulatory, legal and compliance procedures.
    • Develop and maintain planning and other analytics templates.
    • Guide and train CSCs to effectively narrate and convey The Velocity Club's Financial Houseview and philosophy as contained in the financial plans developed for clients.
    • Guide and train CSCs to understand financial concepts, where required.
    • Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure all financial plans are delivered efficiently within agreed turnaround times.
    • Keep up to date with technical knowledge.
    • Create collaborative and supportive relationships with CSCs to partner for client success.
    • Support to CSCs with regards to all queries relating to plans, servicing and products.
    • Complete all administrative requirements to ensure smooth execution of client's decisions and choices.
    • Be independent, non-judgmental and objective in developing a financial plan for a client by truly understand their financial world, needs and goals.
    • Ensure day-to-day engagements with CSCs to ensure that all queries and requests are answered, actioned and resolved.
    • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
    • Continuously developing own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledge. Be open to learning continuously to stay abreast of the latest financial thinking.
    • Contribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideas.
    • Take ownership for driving own career development, regulatory adherence and ethics.
    • Adhere to business and industry rules and regulations.
    • Have in depth knowledge of all products and solutions available in developing a financial plan.
    • Provide council, product and engagement support / service to CSCs.
    • Successful implementation and continuous review in line with regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in creating a collaborative environment within the Advice Hub where everyone learns from each other by sharing new ideas and knowledge that ultimately results in clients receiving best-of-breed advice

    Competencies required

    Experience and Qualifications

    • 3-year business-related university degree or NQF, or other analytic degree with relevant financial industry experience as mentioned below.
    • Financial Planning Qualifications and experience will be an advantage
    • 3-5 years career working experience in financial services environment - analytical experience preferred
    • Good knowledge of financial services industry and products
    • Previous product specific training relating to insurance, investment, risk and health management products will be an advantage
    • Experience with FNA software will be an advantage

    • Ability to work independently and within a team.

    • Exceptional communication skills (including reading, writing and speaking) in English.

    • Proactive and innovator attitude through identifying opportunities to create efficiencies and creatively solving problems.
