AFR Export Controller - Durban at DHL Supply Chain

In this AFR Export Controller position

• You will establish and maintain relationships with existing customers.
• You will follows-up shipment status in the Export area, identifies incidents and ensures resolution of incidents.
• You will coordinate and liaises with shipper, customer, and/or DHL overseas office on the total movement of the shipment.
• You will ensure the accurate tariffs application on all shipment’s billings.
• You will manage the profitability of every shipment and raising any issues or incidents that would impact the profitability of the account.
• You will make sure all operational KPI’s are met and maintained.
• You will participate in joint Sales visits if necessary.
• You will raise CCM’s and OI’s where required.
• You will handle customer complaints and enquiries and provide high levels of customer service with a sense of urgency.
• You will assist Airfreight Export Manager to meet department targets and maintains excellent relationships with suppliers.
• You will be responsible for identifying performance issues of suppliers and proposes solutions to improve/correct performance.
• You will arrange for the movement of shipment from customer/shipper if necessary.
• You will perform booking and booking optimization according to internal guidelines as defined by Product.
• You will prepare, controls, and distribute all required Export documents to counterparts (carrier, consignee, supplier, etc.) complying with regulations and internal procedures.
• You will check responses from counterparts and finalizes validation of required documents.
• You will upload shipping documents into operation system.
• You will perform customs entries on all export shipments and all related customs formalities.
• You will constantly be demonstrating and living the values of DHL. 

 Now, here’s what we need from you

• Must have a Grade 12.
• Tertiary education including diploma will be an advantage.
• CAT6 GD certificate will be preferred.
• Cargowise experience will be an advantage.
