We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Agriculture Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who has a deep understanding of agricultural practices and a genuine love for animals.
The Agriculture Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling agricultural products, building relationships with clients, and attending industry tradeshows and events.
The position requires extensive travel and a hands-on approach to understanding both the products and the customers we serve.
Job Description
Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with farmers and agricultural businesses to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
Sales and Promotion: Actively promote and sell agricultural products and services to new potential customers.
Trade Show Attendance: Represent the company at local, regional, and national agricultural tradeshows, events, and conferences. Provide product demonstrations, answer questions, and generate leads.
Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the products, including how they impact on farming, and agricultural operations.
Travel: Frequent travel required to visit clients, attend industry events, and gather market intelligence across the region.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously improve product offerings and strategies.
Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service, follow up on sales leads, and ensure clients are satisfied with product performance. Ensure deliveries are met.
Reporting: Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and feedback to inform future strategies.
Qualifications
Education: Matric, Sales and Related Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural sales or a related field.

Animal Knowledge: A strong understanding and personal interest in animals, particularly farm animals.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse clients and stakeholders.

Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office and CRM software. Ability to understand and explain the technical specifications of the product to a customer
