Appointment requirements

• Ability to perform duties (including physical ability, basic literacy and experience)
• Relevant experience in a water environment will be an added advantage
• Physical fitness and health
• Ability to do physical work related to operation and maintenance activities for continuous periods
• Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary functions

• Clean and maintain the pump station terrain
• Execute work through proper planning and scheduling
• Ensure that work is done effectively
• Clean the pump station and inlet baskets or structure
• Report any problems to the foreman
