AI Automation Engineer at Prescient

Purpose of role:

• We are looking for an AI Automation Engineer to embed with teams, observe their workflows, and redesign processes using AI-driven automation. This is a hands-on role where you’ll prototype rapidly, test ideas, and evangelize automation across the organization. You’ll leverage n8n, LLMs/AI tools, and AWS-native services to build intelligent, secure, and scalable workflows while teaching others to do the same.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Team Embedding & Discovery:
• Sit alongside business teams for 2–4 weeks to understand pain points, map workflows, and identify automation opportunities.
• Rapid Prototyping: Talent
• Quickly design and test automation solutions using n8n, AI APIs, Copilot Agents and AWS services. Iterate fast to validate ideas before scaling.
• Workflow Orchestration (n8n):
• Build robust workflows with error handling, retries, and observability.
• AI/LLM Integration:
• Use LLMs for summarization, extraction, translation, and classification. Optimize prompts and ensure compliance.
• AWS Automation:
• Implement event-driven architectures using S3, Lambda, EventBridge
• Teaching & Evangelism:
• Upskill teams on building automations themselves. Create documentation, run workshops, and champion AI adoption.
• Security & Compliance:
• Apply privacy-by-design principles and ensure encryption, access control, and auditability.
• Cost & Performance Optimization:
• Monitor and optimize AWS and AI usage for efficiency.
• Documentation & Enablement:
• Produce clear guides, diagrams, and reusable templates.

Advantages: 

• Experience with DeepL or similar for layout-preserving document translation.
• IaC (CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform) and EventBridge patterns.
• Observability stacks (CloudWatch, Zambia).
• Knowledge of financial services governance, operational resilience, and audit requirements.
• Experience with vector databases (e.g., OpenSearch).
• Cost optimization techniques for AI usage and AWS services.

Example Projects You’ll Tackle

• Event-driven ingestion from SFTP/S3 to validated, enriched data pipelines with notifications and failure handling.
• Translating regulatory documents into multiple languages while preserving layout and routing outputs to stakeholders.
• Automating alerts and remediation for infrastructure events.
• Building an AI-assisted triage for inbound requests (classification, routing, summarization) integrated with Teams and ticketing systems.
• Implementing CI/CD for n8n workflows with environment promotion and governance controls.
