Analyst - Business Modelling, Client Capabilities Network at McKinsey & Company

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You’ll work with the Client Capabilities Network (CCN) Analytics team based in South Africa. McKinsey Analytics works with leading institutions globally to unlock new sources of value and to drive significant client impact. Our team has world class analytical experience with a successful track record of deploying analytics across clients spanning a range of sectors. The team integrates analytical findings into the business solutions and develops actionable recommendations that are tailor made for client situations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• You will work directly with our client service teams globally and be a part of analytics focused engagements across data engineering, visualization, optimization & simulations and machine learning. 
• Your role will involve design and implementation of advanced analytics dashboards, quick turn-around business models, data engineering solutions and predictive and prescriptive analytics to derive business insights and solve complex business problems. This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations. You may also be responsible for presenting results to client management and implementing recommendations with client team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Analytics, Quantitative or Actuaries related fields with an excellent academic record
• Experience in modelling & business algorithms/ scenario planners/ simulation engines to solve business problems an added advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
• Skills to communicate complex ideas effectivelyStakeholder management skills with ability to communicate and work with middle to senior management effectively
• Hands-on experience in VBA, SQL/NoSQL, R, Python, etc. preferred
