Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:   

• Minimum Educational requirement is Matric/Grade 12
• A formal tertiary qualification in Chemistry - National Diploma or BTech or B.Sc. Degree or an Equivalent Qualification as per the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) - SAQA would be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in a Pharmaceutical Laboratory.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and quality control requirements pertaining to the manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API’s).
• Must have experience in or knowledge of the API Testing Environment.
• Must be computer literate.
• Good knowledge of Analytical Chemistry.
• Understanding of and participation in a product stability and reference standard management program will be advantageous.

• Maintenance of GLP in the Laboratory
• Maintenance of the Stability Program
• Maintenance of the Reference Standard Program
• Participation in departmental improvement and transfer projects.
• Resource allocation to ensure that customer support is provided.
