As a Analytics Lead in our Analytics team, you will be responsible for making sure internal and external stakeholders have accurate and up-to-date data and insights relevant to their operations. You will maintain the team’s backlog, and create the roadmap based on customer and strategic needs. You will elicit requirements and document them accordingly and from time to time you will produce reports and dashboards.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Product strategy. You communicate the company strategy to your team, and understand how your team contributes to the strategy. You are clear about your team’s goals. You will make sure that we have clear customer requirements, and work closely with product and engineering to deliver a high-quality product.
Communication. You will manage internal and external stakeholders, make sure everyone in the team feels good about their work, and communicate your roadmap and key dates to the rest of the organisation.
Continuous improvement. You will advocate for and introduce improvements to our development, testing, CI, automation and architecture. This includes improving the team's best practices, processes and mentor team members.
Producing operational insights. You will use your statistics skills to identify trends, describe data and produce insights impacting various aspects of the business.
You will communicate these in a professional, actionable and relatable manner.
Lead analysts and engineers. Recruit, manage and mentor the team. Make sure there is clarity in the team about the team’s priorities and expectations. Organise and structure the team for effective delivery using best practices.
Importantly, you need to be socially minded and should want to apply your creativity and skills to reimagining the way out-of-hospital healthcare can be delivered to all South Africans when enabled by technology.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years people management experience.
At least 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Engineers.
Knowledge of key data concepts including: Databases, Data Pipelines, Data Warehousing, Data Transformation, Data Visualization and Data Interpretation.
Experience using and maintaining business intelligence tools.
Deep knowledge and experience Data Management Principles.
Deep knowledge and experience of agile software development methodologies.
Experience as a digital product manager or business analyst is an advantage.
Knowledge and interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning and predictive modelling is an advantage.
Experience of working in a healthcare environment is an advantage.
EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related field, or equivalent working experience
Cloud computing certifications will be an advantage.
Short courses to keep up to speed with modern development practices.
