Analytics, Process and Systems Manager at Cipla

Job Purpose

• Analyse and deliver actionable recommendations through research and analysis relating to all aspects of the Planning Function, KPI Management, Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis, to provide focused and collaborative support to the Supply Chain Planning Function.
• To push supply chain metrics, drive enhanced performance visibility, strengthen S&OP dashboard, bring root cause analysis , value stream mapping of key processes.
• Actively contribute in the process of SCM transformation by driving identified initiatives and bring the analytical insights and project management to ensure achievement of deliverables as per the agreed timelines
• To create and lead the transformation agenda and best in class supply chain practices for the function by optimising processes through automation & technology adoption. Drive Project Management & governance of transformation initiatives in Analytics, CI and Digital.
• Complex role with multiple facets and both highly analytical, strategic, transactional, and operational in nature. Multiple stakeholders and focus on collaborative and cross functional working with both local and global stakeholders.

• Institutionalization of best practices across the Function to improve performance and achieve Function goals
• Drive capability building initiatives in the Function that address the capability gaps and result in tangible organizational and professional development outcomes
• Coordinate discussions with demand & supply planners with the local and global IT, Digital and planning teams on the opportunities and initiatives.
• Drive communication on the progress of various initiatives in Planning function in alignment with the SA SC Leadership Team to create awareness in the organization.
• Support Demand Planning Manager and Supply Planning Manager with process and system streamlining and improvement plans
• Driving Digitalization and automation of analytics and reporting in supply chain
• Drive System integration and data support for automation and analytics.
• Publish, analyse, KPI reporting and general reporting for Cipla SA Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Team
• Support, assist, interact, contribute and manage relevant S&OP execution meetings with the relevant team members in the function
• Assess, review, track & report on Function KPI’s.
• Monitor and manage availability, and stock levels vs plan and other KPI's
• Manage and Analyse Inventory performance and Improvement actions with the DC
• Monitor & Manage all stock-related activity to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by location.
• Analyse and propose stock norm requirements for all SKU’s.
• Calculate ideal inventory and associated/required replenishment frequencies,
• Identify ideal fulfilment models for products within departments and divisions based on sales plans, stock holding, stock cover, etc
• Identify and review items with excess inventory and propose action plan.
• Establish, design, manage, and assist with the development of scalable forecasting and stock management capability
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
• Manage short dated stock and drive demand shaping with Marketing, mitigation planning with Commercial team.
• Minimise write off costs on slow moving stock by proposing change in stock policy or demand shaping actions to reduce write off.
• Providing commentary monthly on excess and shortfall stock as well as key drivers to inventory forward.
• Liaise with Cipla India as home market for SA Market on key inventory and availability performance KPI’s
• Provide replenishment requirement views for maintaining stock norms
• Analyse, review, report and coordinate discussions with demand & supply planners on the opportunities and risks regarding demand and supply.
• Provide input to supply points in developing inventory strategies on existing, new and phased-out products
• Track stock supply point delivery vs actual, conduct required follow up to ensure service delivery
• System Management and optimization in partnership with other departmental managers
• Lead & Manage the annual Strat Planning and Budgeting projects
• Lead and Drive Annual KPI Target Settings
• Grow, develop  and knowledge sharing between team members
• Root cause analysis and performance dashboard on performance KPIs to drive performance improvement
• Establish and create reports for the function
• Compile month-end reports and Presentations
• Other duties as assigned

DASHBOARD AND ANALYSTICS:

• Conduct ad hoc analytics required improve functional requirements, supply visibility and commitments
• Support demand planning, supply planning teams and with process and system streamlining and improvement plans
• Drive SKU STN analytics and segmentation in day to day planning activities
• Driving Digitalization and automation of analytics and reporting in supply chain
• Lost tree analysis and dashboarding of performance KPIs
• Project manage and driving of select improvement projects as identified by Function head
• Conduct process and value stream mapping and perform gap analysis of identified supply chain processes

​​​​​​​Qualification and Relevant Experience

• Relevant Bachelors University qualification in Supply Chain Management (BComm), Logistics (BComm) or Engineering (BIng) or Statistics
• 5+ years of planning and/or supply chain analytics
• Exposure to supply chain and S&OP is a must
• Exposure and experience in the Digital & CI space is a must
• Experience in Demand & Supply Planning including replenishment forecasting is a plus
• Understanding of General CI transformation methodologies
• Understanding of multiple continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Principles and Six Sigma preferred
• Previous experience in data science is a plus
• CPF or CPIM an advantage
• Experience in the FMCG/Pharmaceutical industries is advantageous
• Good working knowledge with ERP systems (SAP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and BI Platforms
• Knowledge of SAP ECC data model and analysis is a must.
