Job Advert Summary

• The Application Specialist provides expert functional support, and system optimisation guidance across enterprise applications between various business functions such as Finance, HR, L&D, compliance, Operations and Workshops, with a key focus on ensuring business needs are met through stable and scalable applications.
• The role engages deeply with business users, leads documentation and testing efforts, and manages vendor deliverables for assigned platforms.
• This role ensures application stability and effectiveness through strong stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination, documentation management, and testing oversight.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in information systems, Engineering or related discipline.
• 6 years experience using warehousing and transport management systems in a warehousing and transport environment
• Expert in Excel

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead functional support and issue resolution for enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HR, LMS, SHEQ other core Applications).
• Act as a key liaison between business users and external vendors or developers.
• Facilitate business analysis and compile or review detailed Business Requirements Specifications (BRS) and Functional Specifications (FS).
• Log, track, and resolve incidents, user queries, and change requests.
• Support configuration changes, user access control, and report queries.
• Perform minor configuration updates and manage user access and permissions.
• Drive system testing, including UAT planning, coordination, and defect resolution.
• Ensure all changes are properly documented and aligned with IT governance standards.
• Maintain and provide training documentation such as training materials and registers.
• Provide end user training to relevant applications.
• Participate in project management activities.
• Support vendor performance monitoring and ensure delivery quality.
• Coach and support junior Application Specialists where applicable.
• Support compliance with data regulations, audit requirements, and access control policies.
