Application & Support Lead - Molecular Diagnostics at Hologic, Inc.

Job Summary

The position’s main responsibility will be to support Hologic’s ambitious growth plans in cytology and molecular biology business from a scientific point of view as well as through applications. They will support the development and implementation of scientific studies and represent Hologic in scientific conferences. They will also be responsible for training and development of Hologic’s distributors in the region.

Duties & Responsibilities (others may be assigned):

• Scientific support
  • The person will be the point of contact for all scientific issues related to Hologic’s products in the region
  • They will be responsible for the development and implementation of scientific studies as well as publications related to Hologic products
  • The person will be responsible for reviewing and supporting the development of verification and validation studies on Hologic’s products
  • They will be responsible for representing Hologic in scientific conferences in the region
  • The person will be responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining relations with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the region
  • They will be responsible for organizing scientific workshops in the region
• Applications support
  • They will be overall responsible for the development of Hologic’s distributors and local agents on applications  
  • Together with Hologic’s training department, they will be responsible for the development and implementation of train the trainer program
  • The person will be overall responsible for the training of end users
  • They will provide applications support to Hologic product users either directly or indirectly through our distributors/local agents
  • The person will coordinate all applications-related troubleshooting in coordination with the applications specialist as well Hologic’s technical support teams in Europe and the US

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences or related field
• Previous experience in a scientific role in the biomedical or diagnostics field
• Demonstrated ability to train and develop people
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, self-managerial and planning skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 60%
