We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Agricultural Equipment and Diesel Tractors Technician to join our team in maintaining and repairing agricultural equipment and diesel tractors
As an apprentice in this industry you will work closely with experienced technicians to learn the ins and outs of servicing and troubleshooting a wide range of machinery used in agricultural practices
This role offers hands on training and practical experience to help you develop the necessary skills and knowledge to become a successful technician in the field
Responsibilities:
Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and repairing agricultural equipment and diesel tractors
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes filter replacements and lubrications
Inspect and test machinery to identify issues and ensure proper functionality
Learn to use diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint mechanical problems
Follow safety protocols and procedures while working on equipment
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Duties:
Learn the basics of engine systems, hydraulic systems electrical systems and other components of agricultural equipment and diesel tractors
Assist in performing preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
Conduct tests and inspections to identify and resolve mechanical issues
Study technical manuals and diagrams to understand equipment specifications and repair procedures
Develop troubleshooting skills to diagnose problems effectively and efficiently
Communicate with customers to understand their concerns and provide updates on repair progress
Key Skills:
Mechanical aptitude and passion for working with machinery
Detail-oriented with good problem solving abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in equipment maintenance and repair
