As the Area Delivery Manager, you will own the performance outcome for our customers for all products and execute standardization, Continuous improvement /Lean and operation excellence initiatives. You will also own the operational cost Profit and Loss and drive site-level improvements and efficiency/effectiveness.
Key responsibilities:
Leads the delivery organization (warehouse, depot, middle & last mile) in the area for Fulfilled by Maersk
Ensures the right capabilities/ competencies and staffing to deliver business needs and growth for the area
Responsible for area delivery organization engagement. Owns talent development and succession planning and promotes the company culture
Ensures a safe and compliant environment for our associates and partners. Takes a leading, responsible role on health &safety/ ISO and other legal compliance issues across the Area. Prompts corrective actions where rules or standards are at risk of not being met
Manages and improves fulfilled by Maersk performance outcomes for our customers for the area in line with the agreed quality, quantity and cost an aligned our Maersk operations/delivery standards.
Ensure economic performance through rigorous budget management and cost control. Oversee the development and implementation of CI methodologies and tools to optimize processes, eliminate waste, streamline operations, and adopts global standards
Ensure transport network optimization for middle and last-mile transportation operation, standardization, and performance management
Owns customer and site implementation for our customers in quality and in time as per agreement with the customer and project plan
Owns the relationship with our outsources operations, their compliance and operational performance in line with the customer SLAs
Lead, implement and monitor the budget and uphold a strong focus on both cost control and budget achievement, taking appropriate timely actions
Who are we looking for?
Minimum 10 years’ experience in contract logistics (Depot, CFS, warehousing and distribution)
The ideal candidate should possess an excellent understanding of delivery execution (Warehouse and Transportation) particular experience in an e-commerce fulfilment environment would be beneficial
Someone with a successful background in people leadership in a delivery/ operations environment
A proven track record working with a strategic mindset, ability to work in a complex matrix organization
Experience in a customer-centric environment, providing high-quality reactivity and flexibility
