    Area Sales Manager

    About the job


    Primary Purpose of the Job

    As the Area Sales Manager for Eastern cape you will be responsible for the development of the assigned area within the company. You are expected to achieve the Sales Targets and to develop the area from a Sales perspective (Active sites) and to oversee the account management of the existing customers / site assist. You will be the first point of call with all the customers in your area.

    Main Tasks

    • New Business
    • Sales Targets
    • ASM Call Sheet Schedule
    • Budgets + Quarterly Presentations
    • Account Management
    • Expense Management
    • New Sites / Installation
    • General Administration

    New Business

    • Manage this on a day-to-day basis
    • Find new business within your area
    • Complete the agreed number of calls per week
    • 20 New Customer Telephone Calls per week
    • 15 Qualified New Customer meetings per week
    • 10 Sales Presentations per week
    • Keep Parrot/New CRM update with the details of all new contacts made
    • Complete the Call Cycle Entry in Parrot/CRM once a call has been completed
    • Ensure your Outlook Calendar is kept up to date at all times and that your diary reflects exactly what you do at all times
    • Don’t deviate from your Quarterly Plan unless agreed to by Management
    • Pass on potential business outside your area to other Area Sales Managers
    • Report all issues timeously to Management

    Sales Target

    • the Area Sale Manager, you are responsible to generate sales. You understand that without continued sales and the meeting of Sales Target we cant guarantee your long-term employment.
    • Sales Targets for per Quarter - As Agreed and commnicated with Managment

    ASM Call Sheet Schedule

    • Keep your ASM Call Sheet Schedule up to date at all times
    • Email it to you Manager by no later than 5pm every Friday

    Budgets + Quarterly Presentations

    • As an Area Sales Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the management of your area from a Budget perspective. You are expected to know all Orders that are awaiting delivery, your potential list and what is in your Pipeline.
    • Keep up to date with all your Orders / Potentials and Pipeline
    • Keep your Monthly Budget Schedule up to date
    • Each Quarter present your next Quarters Projections including Sales Targets + Call Targets
    • Report any changes to your schedule timeously to Management

    Account Management

    • Visit all Existing site on a regular basis
    • Keep Parrot updated with the details of all new contacts made
    • Complete the Call Cycle Entry in Parrot/CRM once a call has been completed
    • Manage the Service Level Agreement review annually with each customer
    • Assist with the Debtors Management as and when required
    • Liaise with the Operations Manager and Field Managers as and when required
    • Report all issues timelessly to Management

    Expense Management

    • Submit your Monthly Credit Card Expense Form by the 10th of each month
    • Only use your Company Credit Cards for Business Expenses
    • All Expenses must be accompanied by a receipt – and you understand that if there is No Receipt we cant accept the expense – and you will be liable for the expense

    New Sites / Installation - Waste

    • Assist with the planning of all installation with the use of the Gantt chart
    • Ensure all work is done to company standards
    • Introduce PGS staff to all new sites and ensure the first month you monitor the site as well as completing a Waste Management Meeting to ensure a smooth hand over occurs.
    • Sign off each installation with contractor and get correct paperwork to head office for payment.
    • Report any issues timelessly to Management

    General Administration

    • Keep all filing up to date
    • Keep your Diary up to date at all times
    • Communicate any issues timeously to Management
