Job Advert Summary    

• To facilitate assistance in the cost effective and timeous production of specials to the required time,quality standards, cost constraints and customer satisfaction, as well as maintaining ISO 9001:2015 series quality system and production.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 or technical equivalent
• 1 year working experience in related field
• Ability to perform physical labour

Primary Duties    

• Assisting the operator in the fabricating of pipes and pipe specials using appropriate machinery and tools.
• Machine cleaning, article cleaning, area upkeep, planning and re-organizing of work.
• Quality awareness and implementation.
• Consumables saving.
• Assistance in the recording of data related to the articles being worked on.
• Assistance to artisans.
• Customer awareness and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct mini-risk assessments, compliance with OHS Act and managing compliance with environmental legislation

Knowledge    

• Pipe fitting and assembly of intricate pipe specials.
• Knowledge on welding/Boilermaking tools and equipment.
• Working with centre lines, focal points of intricate pipe specials
• Knowledge in the marking/cutting, rolling, welding, 

Skills    

• Look after tools and equipment
• Awareness in quality, safety and environmental issues
• Ability to assist in the marking/cutting, rolling, welding, cleaning and provision of quality items
• Good communication skills(both spoken and written)
• Reporting skills
