Artisan Boilermaker - Shaft Sinking at Murray & Roberts

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
• Engineering equipment maintained and repaired according to agreed standards and schedules
• Competent, positive and motivated team
• Compliance with SHEQ, MRC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
• Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
• Effective stakeholder engagement 

Minimum requirements:

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent
• Section 26 Trade Certificate - Boilermaker, MIETTB (mining Industry Engineering Trades Training Board) Trade Certificate through a registered body
• Contract of Apprenticeship signed off by employer and Department of Manpower
• Valid Medical certificate of Fitness
• Covid-19 Coronavirus Vaccination Certificate [Site Specific]
• Valid First aid Certificate
• Valid Code EB driver’s license
• Sound verbal and written communication skills in English

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• More than 1 year mining industry experience (Shaft Sinking)
• More than 1 year of trade experience as a Boilermaker
