    Construction Man (No Trade/ B Cert)

    Job Description:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Effective and efficient supervision of the mining construction crew to achieve production targets
    • Plan, schedule and control activities to ensure availability of resources, materials and equipment
    • Effective management of materials, consumables and explosives
    • Participate in waiting place / pre-shift meetings and ensure parameters relating to quality, quantity, cost and safety are understood
    • Team and self-assist with drilling, blasting, lashing, shaft lining and equipping to standard
    • Team and self-understand and comply with M&RC’s policies, procedures, standards
    • Proactive risk identification and mitigation in compliance with DMR, M&RC and Client’s safety requirements
    • Effective self and team management and alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives)
    • Safe installations and construction of pump stations, dam walls, piping and valves
    • Safe installation of conveyor transfer points, drive stations, tail ends, head ends, belt tensioning
    • Supervise underground rigging installation and hooking points
    • Comply with the lock out systems required on machinery and equipment
    • Adhere to M&RC’s policies, procedures, standards and safety protocols

    Minimum requirements:

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4)
    • Licence to Supervise or equivalent supervisory qualification
    • Operating license for underground equipment
    • Basic Rigging certificate
    • Numeracy skills
    • Supervisory skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft [Word and Excel]
    • Planning and organising skills
    • Ability to perform risk assessments proficiently
    • Good English written and verbal communication skill

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • At least 4 years of experience in underground mining and construction
    • Knowledge of all construction work such as pipe installations, rail construction and concrete
    • Rigging experience essential
    • Experience transporting and operating machinery in an underground mining environment
    • Experience supervising a team
    • Knowledge of construction work such as pipe installations, rail construction and concrete

    Administrator Stores - Musina

    Job Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Provide effective administrative support
    • Receive and issue materials for export and various site
    • Compile track lists for all exports
    • Collate export documentation and packing instruction
    • Administer the JDE system
    • Daily processing of outbound sales transactions and releasing of backorders
    • Manage manual requisitions
    • Weekly Master data maintenance
    • Maintain inventory levels with regard to min. & max levels and replenishment of stock
    • Participate in monthly cycle counts and locations audits
    • Maintain safe housekeeping practices to ensure safety standards, including adhering to safety standards for the packaging of materials

    • At least 2 years ‘experience in similar position
    • Working experience on JDE or similar ERP system

    • Experience with inventory management on exports and projects
    • Knowledge of inbound and outbound principles

    Artisan Auto Electrician

    Job Description:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Be systematic in fault-finding and maintenance executions
    • Ensure full auto-electrical functionality of trackless equipment by performing scheduled and ad hoc maintenance and daily checks
    • Adhere to OEM specifications when working with equipment and materials
    • Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
    • Engineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standard, specifications and schedules
    • Compliance with SHEQ, MRC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols 

    Minimum requirements:

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4)
    • Section 26  or Section 13 Auto Electrician Trade Certificate / MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered body
    • Valid Medical certificate of Fitness

    • Good communication skills in English

    Artisan Rigger

    Job Description:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
    • Plan and execute a rigging equipment maintenance schedule according to OEM specifications and company standards
    • Identify coil and inspect ropes
    • Protect ropes using various techniques
    • Maintain winder ropes, attachments, sheave wheels/ conveyors, and assist with shaft slinging
    • Engineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standards and schedules
    • Compliance with SHEQ, M&RC and client standards, policies and procedures
    • Perform mini risk assessment prior to commencing work
    • Plan the job in terms of standards and required resources and draw up a schedule to guide the execution thereof
    • Effective self-management and alignment with M&RC values and leadership initiatives

    Minimum requirements:

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Grade 12 or NQF level 4 equivalent
    • Section 26 Rigger/Ropes man Trade Certificate / MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered body
    • Muscular strength to do rope splicing
    • Valid Code EB driver's license
    • Valid Medical certificate of Fitness
    • Covid-19 Coronavirus Vaccination Certificate [Site Specific]
    • Valid First Aid Certificate
    • Good verbal and written English communication skills

     Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • 10 year's mining industry experience (underground and surface)
    • 10 year's trade experience as a Rigger / Ropesman

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • More than 1 year mining industry experience (Shaft Sinking)
