Artisan: Electrical (AE0203) at Ntice Sourcing Solutions

Purpose:

• Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical equipment, controls, lighting and circuits. Ensures work is in accordance with relevant codes. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components, including installing low voltage and multimedia cabling.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 Qualification
• Min 3 years’ experience in a similar position 
• South African National Standards (SANS 1&2) Installation rules and regulations 1&2
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering (SAQA Certificate of Evaluation NQF Level 6 )
• Wireman’s License
• Registered at the Department of Labour as an approved installer
• Certificate of Competence with the Western Cape approved Electrical Inspection Authority

Knowledge Required:

• Control wiring of Electrical panels; change over switch controls, PLC wiring, Generator Control panels
• Reading of circuit electrical drawings
• Power wiring of electrical distribution switch boards
• Fitting and assembling of distribution boards
• Wiring of power circuits
• Be able to design an electrical installation for single and 3 phase commercial installations

• Sound communication skills
• Team player
• Computer literate (MS Suites)

Job Summary

• Responsible for all electrical maintenance and minor installations which falls outside of project work.
• Responsible for the electrical compliance throughout KWV operations and facilities.
