Artisan (Electrician) -Fixed Term Contract 3 Months at Clinix Health Group (Pty) Ltd

Job Summary:

• To monitor, manage and maintain the technical department at a CHG hospital site.
• The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance of the equipment and facilities management and ensures the availability of all relevant machinery and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Electrical / Mechanical Diploma / N6
• National Trade Certificate
• 5+ years’ relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience is non-negotiable.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Facilities and Machinery maintenance:

• Conduct daily checks on all hospital machinery and equipment to ensure all are working well.
• Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules, checks and recommend adjustments / changes where applicable.
• Ensure that jobs are carried out as per job card instructions.
• Perform new electrical installations and upgrades on existing machinery and equipment.
• Ensure compliance to maintenance protocols and standards and ensure work performed / executed is per health and safety standards.
• Identify equipment deviations and report to the hospital manager and line manager and ensure the appropriate remedial action has been taken.
• Conduct root cause analysis as it relates to recurring technical / mechanical failures.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and operations adhere to machinery regulations OHS act.
• Responsible for the drafting of the facility Plan and overseeing the repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical machinery and equipment.
• Repair and maintenance of basic and industrial appliances and is responsible for the overall reticulation of the facility.
• Supervise and monitor the work of outsources services / contractors:
• Inspect work performed and ensure work is performed according to CHG standards.
• Ensure risk assessment is conducted before undertaking of work on site.
• Ensure that work permits are issued to contractors working on site.
• Deliver on the operations and maintenance plan:
• Implement, monitor and control technical and maintenance processes according to quality standards, policy, and compliance and governance requirements.
