To operate basic mechanical /electro-mechanical equipment and machines, and carry out routine tasks following strict, detailed instructions to meet performance targets.
Key Accountabilities
Execution of tasks associated with maintenance of plant mechanical equipment.
Execution of tasks associated with maintenance of pipeline mechanical equipment
Lubricating system principals
Experience on relief valves
An ability to scope and execute small projects
Operating of mobile and truck mounted cranes
Ability to perform and facilitate statutory inspections
Basic practical knowledge of RBIs
Compliance to the MOC process for changes to existing plant and equipment
SHE IMS inspections (SHERQ)
Utilisation of and adherence to RCA procedures
A practical understanding of hazardous area classifications
QA/QC experiences a strong wish.
A sound understanding of the OHS Act’s Pressure Equipment Regulations (PER)
Full compliance to Sasol task risk assessments, work instructions and working procedures
Compliance to the WMS.
Formal Education
Minimum: Grade 12 with Maths, Science and English literacy & NQF 4 mechanical (fitter) trade test certificate
Strong wish: N4 certificate in Mechanical Engineering
