Cranes Millwright is responsible for all Engineering First Line Maintenance, Daily Inspections and Repairs in their assigned section in the Columbus plant area. The task they perform must at all times be focused to improve production and product quality and to eliminate breakdowns. When a breakdown occurs, they will be the first line of defense and must ensure that downtime is kept to a minimum.
Requirements
Be qualified as a millwright and minimum N3 with Maths & Science
Be pro-active, hard working and demonstrate high levels of flexibility
Be able to work under pressure and give attention to detail
Be able to work without direct supervision
Be a strong team player, be bilingual and have excellent communication skills
Have a good mechanical, electrical/electronic and instrument knowledge
Be computer literate
Have three to five years post apprentice work experience as millwright
Be physically fit and not afraid of confined spaces and heights
Be willing to work overtime as requested
Must be willing to do standby
Have extensive knowledge of electrical circuits
LMI certification or studying towards its completion will be added advantage
