Artisan - Refrigeration at Mediclinic

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

• To ensure that all equipment, plant, building, and services always remain functional to their original state in the safest and most cost-effective way

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Perform Technical jobs within the locality 
• Perform administration duties within the technical function
• Identify and mitigate technical risks within the locality
• Coordinate work performed by on-site contractors within the locality
• Maintain client and stakeholder relations within the technical function

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Appropriate trade test in refrigeration
• DESIRED EDUCATION: N/A
• ESSENTIAL CERTIFICATION: Trade test certificate & valid driver's licence Registered SAQCC-Gas (only applicable to South African air-conditioning artisans)
• DESIRED CERTIFICATION: N/A

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: More than 8 years of refrigeration artisan experience and multi-skilled 
• DESIRED EXPERIENCE: More than 3 years' Mediclinic experience

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Trade-specific skills and knowledge – proficiency relative to the role
• Trade-specific policies, procedures, guidelines, and relevant legislature
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Planned maintenance according to set Mediclinic standards
• Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (e.g. OHS and ISO)
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Multi-Skilled (Hospital environment)
• Mentoring of technical team members
