    Assessing Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Manage daily operations of the assessing department by analyising and monitoring daily stats and having weekly meetings with the team.
    • Oversee multiple personnel.
    • Provide leadership and supervision to reporting staff to meet business unit deliverables.
    • Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
    • Develop and implement processes and procedures for the Assessing Team.
    • Review processes in order to ensure that they align with current trends.
    • Design, implement and improve quality standards.
    • Analyse data in order to find areas for growth.
    • Assist with the recruitment process for the Assessing team.
    • Build relationships with the relevant partners that will help the business to further its objectives.
    • Monitor financial aspects of budgets, expenditure, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.

     

    Minimum Requirements:

    • VDQGBSA
    • Vehicle damage quantification qualification (professional member)
    • 4+ years motor assesing experience.
    • 2 years trainee motor assessing, automotive mechanic, automotive body repairer or automotive spray painter qualification.
    • Coaching experience.
    • Claims handling process experience.
    • Strong financial and analytical understanding that will be applied to strategic business planning and budgeting.  
    • Advanced abuntex knowledge.
    • An in-depth knowledge of the operations and management of vehicle assessments.
    • Sound knowledge of management practices.
    • Knowledge of related Financial Service Board [FSB] legislation and regulations.
    • Sound knowledge of FAIS (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services) and compliance matters.
    • Good understanding of the short term insurance market, including customers, products and services.
    • Good MS Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word).
