Job Objectives    
1. Reconciliation and clearing of general ledger accounts (especially related to inventory) on SAP.
2. Identification and investigation of discrepancies on general ledger accounts and reporting thereon.
3. Calculation and processing of inventory related accounting entries in accordance with IFRS, e.g. adjustments for railage, forex, confidential discounts, advertising recoupment, etc. in inventory.
4. Analysis of inventory related data, e.g. gross profit margins, moving average cost, line item profitability.
5. Assisting in the preparation of inventory and sales related reports.
6. Maintenance of finance related master data, e.g. creation of additional and amendments to existing general ledger accounts, vendors, profit centres and cost centres.
Qualifications    

• B.Acc, B.Comm or BTech with Financial Accounting and Management Accounting as major subjects

Desirable:

• Postgraduate qualification with Financial Accounting and Management Accounting as major subjects and/or CIMA
• Completed accounting articles

Experience    

• At least 4 years work experience in an accounting environment

Desirable:

• Finance related work experience in a retail company

Knowledge and Skills    

• Attention to detail
• Intermediate SAP knowledge and skills

Desirable:

• Basic BPC knowledge and skills
