Assistant Accountant

Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping of multiple South African entities and two foreign entities
- Filing and processing of monthly suppliers’ invoices
- Creditor reconciliations o Monitor and manage unpaid supplier invoices
- Processing intercompany debtors’ invoices
- Bank accounts reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and processing depreciation
- Maintaining other related monthly schedules
- Prepare loan schedules between group companies
Other
- Maintaining company resolutions register
- Assisting with bank admin
- Ensure timely bank payments
- Compute VAT payable or receivable
Required
- B.Com or B.Tech degree in Accounting
- Good knowledge of Xero would be advantageous
- Good MS Excel skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- 3 year articles or commercial experience required
