Entrepreneurial fund seeks proactive assistant asset manager to become a office space specialist.

Our client buys, renovates, tenants and owns various office blocks, and is also looking at acquiring other types of properties throughout South Africa. Headed up by an industry stalwart, they are certainly in a growth phase.

To continue on this path, they need to hire a vibrant assistant to their busy asset manager, who can take pick up on the day-to-day relationship with the external property management company. On top of this, you will work with tenants and contractors to ensure that properties are being turned into the kinds of spaces that will lease easily and yield the highest possible results. As with most asset management teams, the idea behind this one is to make sure all investment, operational, financial management and leasing decisions made in your portfolio will support investment growth. And so strong modelling and forecasting skills are necessary in this agile environment.

In a small office environment, you get to be involved in a wide variety of projects and have input at every level. Although this will keep you interested and busy… it also means there is ‘nowhere to hide’ and only people who are able to deliver top results under significant pressure will cut it. The ideal candidate will be people orientated with an eagerness to learn.

Apply if you have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the management, leasing or project management of commercial spaces, have proven experience with commercial/office space redevelopments. Are a property studies honours graduate with your own car and a willingness to get your hands dirty.
