About the role    

• Medirite Plus Carnival City is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Assistant Branch Manager to support the daily operations of the store.
• The successful candidate will assist in driving sales, maintaining operational standards, managing stock, leading teams, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

What you'll do    

You'll be required to:

• Support the achievement of sales and profitability targets.
• Manage and monitor sales performance across all product categories, including health and beauty ranges.
• Ensure effective stock control, replenishment, and stock availability.
• Minimise stock losses, shrinkage, wastage, and markdowns.
• Execute pricing updates, promotional activities, and merchandising standards.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping, health and safety, and compliance standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer queries effectively.
• Supervise, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance objectives.
• Assist with reporting, stock management, and operational planning.

What you bring    

Qualification:

• Grade 12 (Matric).

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years' retail supervisory or retail management experience.
• Experience in stock control, merchandising, and sales management.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Computer literacy and administrative proficiency.
• Willingness to work retail trading hours.
• Desirable: Experience within a pharmacy, FMCG, health and beauty, or retail environment.
