Assistant Director: Management Accounting at Department of Higher Education and Training

REQUIREMENTS :

• Matric or NCV Level 4 with a recognized M+3 years Degree or National Diploma in Finance Management, Accounting or Auditing or related qualification;
• 5 years’ experience in a Financial Management, Budgeting and Financial reporting (in terms of GRAP); in which 3 years must be supervisory experience in Financial Management environment. Knowledge of the CET Act, PFMA, Treasury Regulation and understanding of Accrual system. 

DUTIES :

• Develop, review, implement and monitor Finance policies in line with relevant legislation; Planning, Coordinate, review, analyse and quality assure the financial supporting information for planning purposes. Coordinate, review, analyse and quality assure the management accounting reporting processes.
• Preparation of GRAP compliant Annual Financial Statements and dealing with both external and internal auditors. Manage the operational processes, resources and procedures associated with the management accounting functions.
