    Assistant Director: Monitoring and Reporting , Ref No. DSD 14/2024

    Job Purpose    

    • The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to facilitate Departmental performance monitoring, review and reporting. This post is stationed in Cape Town, CBD.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (or higher qualification); A minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience.

    Key Performance Areas    
    Develop and implement Departmental performance monitoring and reporting processes; Contribute to the development and maintenance of performance indicators and monitoring frameworks; Monitor the implementation of the service delivery improvement plans (SDIPs); Facilitate the Department’s MPAT process; Provide support and guidance in the management of Provincial Project Management and Information systems (BizSuite: BizProjects, BizPerformance, BizBrain).

    Competencies    

    • Knowledge of the following: Applicable policies, legislation, guidelines, standards, procedures and best practices;
    • Public Service procedures
    • Project management methodologies and standards;
    • Global, regional and local political, economic and social affairs impacting on the Western Cape Government.

    Skills needed

    • Policies and procedures interpretation and application;
    • Problem solving;
    • Facilitation; Presentation;
    • Policy formulation and analysis;
    • Monitoring and evaluation;
    • Communication (written and verbal);
    • Organising;
    • Information and knowledge management and Dispute resolution/conflict management.
