Grade 12 plus a National Diploma / Degree (NQF level 6/7) in Security Management and /or related qualification. Public Management / Administration / Business Administration or equivalent qualification with extensive years proven experience in Admin and Logistics. A minimum of 3 years experience should be at the level of Supervisor in a hospital environment .
Experience in managing people and projects with the ability to plan strategically. Skills required : Valid drivers License , Computer literacy ., Microsoft Office applications., i.e Word , Excel , Powerpoint and Outlook. knowledge, skills and training.
Competencies required: Good knowledge and understanding of the policies and procedures governing patient administration in the public sector. Ability to make progressive governing patient administration in the public sector.
Ability to make progressive decisions and work under pressure. Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting departmental policies and procedures and develop unit Standards operating procedures. Proactive approach to problem solving and ability to prioritize issues and other work-related matters and to comply with timeframes.
Ability to translate strategic objectives into a practical planning framework. Must have a high level of reliability and ethics, commitment to work beyond the call of duty, and relate well to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Duties :
Developing and implementing security standing operating procedure and programs for the hospital. Conducting risk assessments, threat analysis and security audits. Managing physical security measures.
Coordinating with law enforcement regulatory agencies and external security agencies. Train and educate employees staying updated with security trends and technologies. Manage the administration and logistics sub-units in the Directorate by providing timely and reliable transport services and managing parking and accommodation of the hospital. Implementation of integrated Lean management philosophy into the hospital`s mandate , guidelines or policies.
Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and policies. Assist in ensuring that the hospital has appropriate and effective monitoring systems in place to guarantee value for money and high-quality service.
Monitor staff appraisals (PMDS).Train develop and monitor staff to improve service delivery. Coordinate the drawing of strategic plans , business plan , and operational plans in administration and logistics. Ensure that controls are in place to prevent abuse of state properties. Maintain effective and efficient utilization of all allocated resources.
