Assistant Manager Banking and Cashbook at Amatola Water

Minimum Qualification:

• B.Comm degree in Accounting (NQF Level 7)

Minimum Experience:

• 3 years Financial Accounting experience 

Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Manager: Expenditure and Banking Management, the appointee will:

• Render Banking and Cashbook Service
• Assist in Reviewing the Eft listing for the release of payments as per the Payment advice and Creditors reconciliation and approve when appropriate.
• Assist in Query/resolve any discrepancy in banking details
• Assist with Reviewing reports to ensure cheques are listed in numerical sequence.
• Assist in Controlling the security of cheques issued and electronic payments made
• Assist in ensure that EFT payments have been processed.
• Assist in Liaising with banks to confirm validity of cheques before being cleared.
• Assist in Reviewing bank reconciliation journals processed by Banking and Cashbook Officer
• Assist in Reviewing bank reconciliation to balance sheet
• Carry out reasonable and lawful instructions as given by the line manager/supervisor within the ambit of the position taking into consideration competencies and operational requirements

• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Valid unendorsed driver’s license
