We are seeking a Manager to support our South Africa-based team delivering administration services to Luxembourg Capital Markets vehicles. The role sits within our Alternative Asset Services Division and is responsible for overseeing a client portfolio, leading day-to-day service delivery across administration, financial oversight and governance requirements, and ensuring a high standard of execution for a cross-border Luxembourg structure environment. You will work closely with Operational Heads, Directors, the sending location and client stakeholders, while also leading and developing the local team to deliver consistent, accurate and client-focused service.
Key responsibilities:
You will function as the central point of contact for your clients, identifying and anticipating potential areas of concern and providing appropriate solutions to their problems.
You will utilize your excellent organizational skills and sound judgment to meet and exceed client expectations, address their service needs, and meet their deadlines.
You will be accountable for core operational delivery across administration, corporate secretarial support and accounting oversight for Luxembourg Capital Markets vehicles, including day-to-day client, auditor and supplier liaison, coordination of board and transaction-related meetings, review of minutes, documents and reports prepared by the team, oversight of regulatory and statutory deliverables, budgeting and cost analysis, approval of payments, and management of receivables, payables, reconciliations and other financial administration requirements.
You will be responsible for overseeing client reporting requirements for Luxembourg Capital Markets structures, performing quality reviews of deliverables, and serving as a senior escalation point for day-to-day queries from both clients and the local administration team.
You will take ownership of the performance of your team and ensure that the team delivers, while effectively managing the team’s resources.
You will support the governance framework of the client structures, including coordination of board processes, preparation for board meetings and maintenance of accurate statutory and corporate records for Luxembourg Capital Markets vehicles.
You will actively participate in the implementation of business plans, identifying business opportunities and developments and promoting business growth.
You will be involved in client proposals and pitches, fee quotes and negotiations and reviews of client satisfactory ratings.
You will lead and proactively participate in the development and implementation of systems and procedures, new accounting and administration IT processes ensuring that they meet business, client, and team needs.
Collaborating with the Manager and Director to ensure the planning, coordination, and completion of client deliverables.
Oversee management reporting and statutory reporting for Luxembourg Capital Markets entities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, corporate governance, client and, where relevant, listing requirements.
Prepare and implement client and entity-specific procedures for the administration of Luxembourg Capital Markets vehicles, ensuring service delivery from the South Africa team is documented, controlled and aligned to client expectations.
Ensure that client responsibilities are managed effectively Function as a point an escalation point for teams on client matters, including managing the audits.
Ensure all reporting complies with applicable Luxembourg legal, regulatory and statutory requirements, as well as relevant GAAP or IFRS and other client-specific reporting standards.
Skills / experience:
Professional qualification – CA(S) or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field of Finance/Accounting, including administrative experience in the finance sector
Minimum of 3 to 5 years managing a team
Minimum of 6 years post article experience
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Legal and regulatory requirements, for example Anti-Money Laundering laws etc.
Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines.
Motivated and driven.
Strong experience in Capital Markets structures is essential, ideally with exposure to Luxembourg vehicles and cross-border administration services.
