  • Assistant Manager Landside and Critical Infrastructure.INT KIA.Security - OHSA and Aviation (Safety / Security / Environment and Quality - SEQ)(Q21001)

    Key Performance Output 

    The successful candidate will be reporting to Manager Airport Physical Security, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:

    • Develop Human Capital in line with relevant policies and procedures, including the Work Skills Plan.
    • Manage the performance of staff and oversee outsourced staff and introduce remedial processes where necessary.
    • Investigate and report all Security incidents/deficiencies, non-conformances and complaints at high level and implement remedial.
    • Conduct blast mitigation assessment in relation to terminals, elevated roads, and vulnerable installation including critical infrastructure
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders in implementation of emergency exercises.
    • Compile relevant reports.
    • Ensure all internal and external Stakeholders comply with Security policies and procedures.
    • Ensure and operate according to ICAO, NKP and SACAA and other relevant Legislation and all ACSA policies and procedures.
    • Manage procurement processes.
    • Manage Service Level Agreements (SLA) of service providers where applicable.
    • Build and maintain sound internal and external stakeholder / customer relations whilst balancing enforcement  with professionalism.
    • Collaborate with SAPS and local government agencies
    • Attend to and assist with customer and stakeholder complaints and compliments, including escalated complaints   and ensure remedial action.
    • Respond to all emergencies in the prescribed manner and ensure that the team is able to respond adequately.
    • Manage budget within relevant area.
    • Manage the entire project process within relevant area.
    • Stay abreast of global security threats and security technology advancements.
    • Ensure timeous reporting, follow-up and feedback on all incidents and accidents.
    • Ensure quality assurance.

    Technical Skills and Experience 

    The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:

    • A relevant Diploma NQF Level 6 in related field is essential.
    • A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Security/ Law/ Compliance is recommended.
    • 4 years operational experience is essential.
    • 2 years supervisory experience is essential.
    • Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade A is Recommended.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
