    Assistant Plant Manager

    Role Summary:

    •   Manage overall plant operations, define and deliver objectives in line with Scorecard and long term strategy.

    Position Details: 

    •  Manage the Vehicle Operations Facility in line with Safety, Quality, Deliver, Cost, People.

    • Maintenance, and Environmental objectives.

    • Cascade and drive the strategic and operational plant targets in the Manufcaturing Departments. 

    • Ensure that the production plan is delivered according to programme.

    • Responsibility for the continuous improvement and efficiency of the Facility.

    • Plan and Deliver the Quality Improvement action required in line with Objectives.

    • Responsible for implementing actions to deliver on safety targets in the Facility.

    • Drive plant Skip Level meetings and Recognition.

    • Place a strong emphasis on training and development of employees growing the organization through developing highly competent and motivated people.

    • Develop Each Level of the Organisation to Function as Leaders of their Departments – take ownership and be accountable for the results.

    • Implement and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the Ford Production System.

    Performance Measures/ Success Criteria:  

    • Results are measured through the Facility Scorecard that is aligned yearly with Corporate Objectives.

    • Key indicators : Safety of our People, Quality Targets achieved , Delivery of our Schedule at the correct cost levels.

    • Delivering on the improvements projected in morale of our people and looking after the environment.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Degree in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical or Equivalent)

    • +/- 5-10 years automotive experience within an Manufacturing environment

    •  Production Experience in high level robotic and automation environment
