Assistant To Shore Skipper - Mossel Bay at Sea Harvest Corporation (Pty) Ltd

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Transporting crew to and from Mossel Bay Vessels.
• Assisting with all Administration functions related to the Shore skipper’s Department.
• Compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assisting Shore skipper with audit reports and information.
• Ensuring that all files and crew correspondence e.g., Medicals, personal information, etc. are kept up to date and ready for sailing day.
• Ensuring that vessels are ready on sailing and turn-around days.
• Check medical expiry dates daily and following up when expired.
• Ensuring that all pre-sea certificates are on file and onboard vessels and that.
• Preparing files for safety surveys and having the relevant certificates certified.
• Transporting of crew members to and from place of work and homes.
• Submission of daily tally sheets.
• Collecting supplies from vendors for vessels.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Minimum Grade 10, Matric would be an advantage.
• Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence with PDP and without endorsements is essential.

• Operational skills
• Must be able to work without supervision and under pressure.
• Must be able to multi-task,
• Must be able to work long hours, working overtime and weekends when needed.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience.
