    Associate Consultant: Risk and Retirement | Menlyn Maine

    Job description:

    • We are seeking a motivated and analytical Risk and Retirement Associate Consultant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career in risk management, retirement consulting, and employee benefits.
    • As a Risk and Retirement Associate Consultant, you will work closely with experienced consultants to deliver innovative retirement, pension, and risk solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients.
    • You will gain valuable exposure to employee benefits, financial analysis, client relationship management, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic consulting environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support consultants in delivering retirement, pension, and employee benefits consulting services.
    • Analyse financial, retirement fund, and insurance data to develop client insights and recommendations.
    • Prepare reports, presentations, and other client deliverables.
    • Assist in the implementation and review of retirement and risk management solutions.
    • Participate in client meetings and coordinate follow-up actions.
    • Liaise with insurers, retirement fund administrators, and other stakeholders.
    • Monitor industry developments and legislative changes affecting retirement and employee benefits.
    • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Contribute to benefit reviews, renewals, and benchmarking exercises

    Minimum requirements:

    • Matric/Grade 12 (B.Com degree advantageous)
    • NQF5 Wealth Management Certificate (B.Com degree advantageous)
    • Completed RE5 (Representative First level exam)
    • 5 years relevant Financial Services experience in a similar role
    • Proficient in both spoken and written English and at least one other of the official South African languages
    • Own vehicle and drivers’ license

    Competencies required:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent numerical and data analysis skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Effective planning, organisation, and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
