Associate Engineer - Geometrics/ Civil Engineering at AECOM

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

• You will be working on geometric designs of roads / highways, but also utilizing your civil engineering transportation skills to work on projects.
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Infraworks design software packages:
• Ability to do concept and detail design for multi-disciplinary geometric design projects specifically road and railway geometric design in Civil 3D, including highway design and urban interchange design, as well as general transportation project inputs;
• Calculate and compile schedule of quantities;
• Assist with standard setting and be responsible for quality assurance of products i.e. drawings and reports.
• Compilation of tender documentation including quantities and cost estimatesAssisting in projects as required.
• Report writing and presentation skills.
• Compliance with ISO standards of the company Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for teamProvides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
