Associate Manager, S&OP Planning & Scheduling (Manufacturing) at BIC

Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE: To provide direction and management of the day-to-day activities of inventory planning, production planning across sites within the Group and perform longer term capacity management activities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS

• Main KPI’s, Production adherence (98%) & Inventory management targets (WIP, packaging & Raw materials).

• Direct reports: 3

•  Prepare & Convert SAF12-Month, 6-month Europe, Oceania CPP forecast into Master production schedule for Production & Outsourcing (Export co-packing).

• Weekly production plan updates and scheduling (manufacturing) & outsource production.

• Ensure Scheduling teams expediate production scheduling with Kanban weekly, aligning business requirements (Sales – manufacturing exports / Supply chain).

• Prepare Monthly indent file of raw materials. Ensure optimization of ordering quantities meet standard cost as well as freight and distribution costs.  (Import-inks, nibs, filters, various plastics, spring wire, & locally source master batch).

• Provide a FCST of future orders to raw material suppliers.

• Procure monthly packaging for blister cards, corrugated boxes, wallets, labels & flexible for export co-packing.

• Prepare & report status of raw material strategic stock (inventory) monthly & weekly.                                            

• Prepare monthly S&OP figures & report to Plant Director & Global Planning.

• Ensure co-packer meets 98% Production adherence.

• Liaise with group marketing (stationery), on new product developments prior to implementation.

• Prepare request for quotations (tenders) for new packaging for export co-packer.

• Prepare item codes on PCF Salesforce, WID and generate the B.O.M on all items.

• Responsible for Warehouse management (raw materials & export finished goods)

•  Supply and monitor Budgeted expenses for Warehouse (consumables etc.).

• Analyze weekly status update from Warehouse coordinator with regards to Ink-shelf life as well SLOB items.

• Process Owner and Key user – JDE & JDA

• Support the Finance Manager with the budget process & costings.

• Train and develop team members.

• Must have knowledge of Supply Chain Operations.

• JDE & JDA or similar enterprise software experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Logistics / Supply chain field or similar tertiary qualification.

• 3-5 years Supply Chain experience within a FMCG manufacturing or related environment is essential and experience within the stationary business is advantageous.

• Certification in Inventory management required. (APICS CPIM or similar)
