Au Pair | Diep River | R11 500 - R12 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Area: Diep River
• Children’s Ages: Grade 1 (7 turning 8 years old) – Girl 
• More about her: Very talkative personality, quite vocal about her needs, she likes to be included at all times. She loves swimming, painting and being messy and playful!
• She enjoys maths and stories books, particularly fairy tales. Partially independent, wheelchair user for outside mobility but semi-independent at home. Needs support to get to the bathroom and on and off the toilet.  
• Support Style: Physio and Aqua therapy to stimulate her muscles. Uses an electronic wheelchair at school. Uses a manual wheelchair at home or a walker and can complete short distances around the home by herself.
• Working hours: Monday – Friday 13:00 – 18:00 & Saturday 09:00 – 12:00
• School holiday hours: Same as above / Slightly Flexible
• Duties: Collect her from school, take her to extra-mural activities or appointments, and follow through with any exercises or activities recommended by her doctors or medical professionals. Provide additional physical support where needed, while encouraging independence. Assist with and supervise homework, and engage in intellectually stimulating, age-appropriate play and activities suited to her abilities. Occasional babysitting and weekend work may be required by prior arrangement. 
• Special Requirements:  Experience supporting children with physical disabilities or mobility challenges would be advantageous. Someone patient, talkative, and an engaging personality would be ideal 
• Start Date and contract term: ASAP – 1 year contract (with possibility of extension and renewal)
• Salary: R11 500 - R12 000pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
