Au Pair | Sandton | R12 000 - R15 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• School Holiday Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00
• Duties: Collect from school, transport her to and from extra murals, playdates, outings and appointments, prepare healthy snacks and simple meals, engage her in educational activities, reading, creative play and outdoor activities, encourage her social and emotional development, ensure her belongings are packed and ready for the following day, assist with simple meal preparation for the family, and keep parents updated on her day and wellbeing. The family may also require occasional travel with prior notice.
• Special Requirements: The family is looking for a warm, nurturing and proactive Au Pair who will build a genuine, long term bond with their daughter and become a consistent, caring presence in her life. The ideal candidate should genuinely enjoy spending time with young children, take initiative, be patient, energetic, organised and reliable, and have experience caring for children aged 3-5 years. An Early Childhood qualification, teaching or au pair experience and First Aid certification would be advantageous. A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and safe driving record are essential. The candidate must also be comfortable around a young Golden Retriever.
• Start Date & Contract Term: ASAP - Permanent
• Salary: R12 000 - R15 000pm - depending on experience and any qualifications (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)

Duties: 

• Assist with the morning routine according to both children's individual needs. While the eldest child is at school, the primary focus will be on caring for the newborn.
• Duties may include general care and supervision, changing nappies, preparing and sterilising bottles, managing nap times, engaging in age-appropriate educational and sensory play, and supporting the baby's overall development.
• During the afternoons, responsibilities will include collecting the eldest child from school, transporting them to and from extra murals and appointments, preparing snacks and meals, planning and engaging in educational and age-appropriate play activities, ensuring school bags, uniforms, and belongings are packed and ready for the following day, and assisting with household administrative tasks such as grocery shopping, meal planning, and home organisation. The family may also require their Au Pair to travel with them from time to time.
• Any travel requirements will be communicated well in advance.
• Start Date & Contract Term: ASAP - permanent
• Offered Salary: R18 000 – R20 000 per month + SARS rates per km

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
