Audit Manager at Capitec Bank

Purpose Statement

• The Audit Manager role, reporting to the Manager: Business Bank Internal Audit, will assist the Internal Audit department to meet the requirements of the Definition of Internal Audit through effective end-to-end execution and management of risk-based audit and consulting engagements, while ensuring that the requirements of the Internal Audit Standards and the Internal Audit charter are met.

• The Manager in this unit will be required to manage relationships with the business unit stakeholders in Business Bank, will be required to manage the outputs of the internal auditors in the team. 

Experience

Min:

• At least 5 years’ as an Internal Auditor (generalist)

• Experience in project planning and management

• At least 3-5 years’ managerial experience in managing a team 

Ideal:

• Data analytics exposure and experience

• Financial Services experience

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

• A relevant degree

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Control Risk Self-Assessments (CCSA)

Knowledge

Min:

• Business acumen

• Internal audit standards and processes

• Risk management and corporate governance principles

• Business products, processes, policies and systems

• Management principles to recognise and evaluate the materiality and significance of deviations from good business practice

• The fundamentals of accounting, economics, commercial law, taxation, finance, quantitative methods and information technology
