    Systems Accountant

    Purpose Statement

    • To execute key accounting functions and provide an accurate financial status of all systems across Capitec.
    • To perform daily settlement account reconciliations, ensuring that all uploads of journals are done timeously and correctly, ensuring provisioning is done on a monthly basis as well as the daily settlement of 3rd parties. 
    • The System Accountant will also be responsible to analyse, investigate and resolve exceptions raised from the reconciliation process on a daily basis. 
    • The System Accountant will perform Month end tasks and is responsible to report any system errors timeously.

     
    Experience
    Minimum:

    • 2 – 3 years reconciliation experience 

    Ideal: 

    • Experience in a Financial Services environment.

    Qualifications (Minimum)

    • A relevant qualification in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Finance

    Senior Specialist: Model Validation (Machine Learning)

    Purpose Statement

    • To be responsible for technical review and validation of models used within the organisation, especially machine learning models, ensuring appropriate model governance and model risk management processes and standards are in place in order to manage model risk and improve and optimise model methodologies and usage.

    Experience
    Minimum:

    • 5+ years working experience in data science, machine learning and integration of developed solutions.
    • Able to design and deliver end-to-end on all but the most complex ML projects without supervision
    • Predictive modelling techniques (statistical and machine learning) and deployment
    • Data mining and predictive modelling
    • Experience in a wide range of model types.
    • Having own model reviewed and validated, or validating models
    • Presenting and defending findings to model developers and senior management

    Ideal:

    Audit Manager

    Purpose Statement

    • The Audit Manager role, reporting to the Manager: Business Bank Internal Audit, will assist the Internal Audit department to meet the requirements of the Definition of Internal Audit through effective end-to-end execution and management of risk-based audit and consulting engagements, while ensuring that the requirements of the Internal Audit Standards and the Internal Audit charter are met.
