Auto Electrician - Joostenbergvlakte at Value Logistics

Purpose of the Job

To repair, service and maintain all Value vehicles as per job card.

Operational

• Evaluate/check the vehicle for general defects before doing any repairs
• Write a technical report on the scope of repairs required to repair vehicle
• List spare parts needed to repair vehicle
• Strip components of vehicles
• Clean and assess parts for ware and damages
• Sign for spare parts received as requested
• Assemble stripped-down components with newly used parts
• Identify systems on components failure, discuss with Workshop Foreman and record findings on the job card
• List all tasks performed on the vehicle on the job card, the spares used and the time taken to complete each task
• Service and repair vehicle to OE specifications and schedules
• Perform standby/breakdown after-hour duty
• Maintain acceptable productivity and efficiency levels
• Report unsafe working conditions/equipment to Team Leaders/Workshop Foreman
• Assist in relevant operations/operational functions as required
• Maintain professional conduct
• Ensure the dress code is per company Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain housekeeping standards daily

 Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)

• Able to apply basic Health and Safety procedures relevant to own work functions under direct supervision
• Able to identify hazards and handle them with direct instructions/guidance in place
• Able to identify and select relevant material and equipment needed
• Able to solve maintenance problems independently
• Able to administer the administration control, record keeping and reporting of maintenance activities
