Auto Electrician (Mpumalanga) at Fraser Alexander (Pty) Ltd.

PURPOSE

• The role is responsible to render an efficient service on maintaining of plant and equipment and adhering to safety aspects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Observe and adhere to general responsibilities
• Adhere to all employment legislation as amended from time to time.
• Adhere to the requirements of the SHEQ-C Code of conduct.
• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures as amended from time to time.
• Set a high standard of performance by example and behavior.
• Engage post as a scheduled shift worker until relieved by the next shift
• worker or as arranged by Shift Supervisor or Foreman.
• Attend Safety and pre-shift meetings as scheduled.
• Attend training sessions as required.
• Operate and use Required Tools and Equipment skillfully and safely
• Good housekeeping practice as per company standards.
• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical apparatuses.
• Make rough sketches.
• Estimate cost, time, and material of electrical work.
• Inspections and reports
• Complete all relevant inspections and reports.
• Assist in the writing of specifications for repairs and new construction
• Report all faults and problems to the Foreman.
• Safety aspects on plant and equipment
• Ensure compliance with all maintenance standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Ensure that electrical, kinetic, and potential energy are neutralised before commencing tasks.
• Do not commence with any tasks if the required safety criteria are not met.
• Report all accidents/incidents and safety deviations to the Foreman.
• Maintenance of plant and equipment
• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance.
• Maintain plant and equipment to design capacity.
• Ensure that tools and equipment are kept in a safe working condition.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12
• N3 Engineering Certificate
• Trade Test Auto Electrician

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role
• Learnership/apprenticeship as an Auto Electrician
