Overall responsibility for electrical automation technology asset care (maintenance and troubleshooting)
Execute defined maintenance strategies/routines, related to industrial electronic equipment
Continuous improvement of mill reliability KPI’s related to electrical automation
Keep up to date with, & support the implementation of new technologies
Perform Mill wide electrical automation technician standby as required
Coordinate & support plant electrical team with problem problem-solving
Provide input into database of BU electronic failures to facilitate system reliability reviews, skills improvement and quick reference guides for typical technical problems
Engineering Maintenance Execution (including shutdown and Asset Care management).
Excellent maintenance execution for large industrial sites.
Good understanding of all fields of engineering (mechanical(basic), electrical(expert), instrumentation and automation (expert)) and how to mentor and coach others
Robust technical background in the electrical automation
Prioritise and manage time to achieve consistent results (consistent value adding).
Solve complex electrical automation problems (from program debugging to expert knowledge of electrical starters, relays, variable frequency drives, UPS, battery-management-systems etc.)
Your profiles:
S4 or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy current)
BTech would be advantageous
3 to 5 years of solid experience in heavy engineering and production experience in Electrical Automation related to the heavy engineering pulp & paper industry
1 to 2 years technician-in-training programme would be very advantageous
Experienced in Pulp & Paper or equivalent technologies.
Excellent understanding of electrical automaton technology including but not limited to VSDs, PLCs, DCS, Motor Control technology, electrical system protection relays, recti-formers, engineering PCs and Servers and basic IT.
Good understanding of industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Serial bus communication etc)
Good understanding of Siemens Simatic Manager, TIA system, ABB800 XA, In-Touch SCADA etc
Functional Safety Systems, Advanced Process Control & Distributed Control Systems (Valmet DNA DCS, would be advantageous)
Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical automation systems
