    Automotive Technician Quality Controller

    Job Advert Summary    

    • As a Mercedes-Benz Automotive Technician Quality Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicle servicing and repairs meet the brand’s exacting standards of quality, safety, and performance. You will inspect completed work, verify compliance with Mercedes-Benz technical guidelines, and support continuous improvement in workshop processes to uphold the brand’s reputation for excellence.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Mercedes-Benz or other premium brands.
    • Certification in automotive technology (e.g., NQF Level 4 or higher, Mercedes-Benz Technician Certification).
    • Strong knowledge of Mercedes-Benz vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
    • Excellent customer orientation.
    • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
    • Familiarity with workshop management systems and inspection tools.
    • Computer Literate

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Perform final quality inspections on serviced and repaired Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
    • Ensure all work complies with Mercedes-Benz technical specifications and diagnostic protocols.
    • Identify and document any deviations or defects, and coordinate corrective actions with technicians.
    • Collaborate with service advisors and workshop staff to resolve quality-related issues.
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and resolutions using Mercedes-Benz systems.
    • Provide feedback and training to technicians on quality standards and best practices.
    • Monitor workshop processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
    • Assist in resolving customer concerns related to service quality or vehicle performance.
    • Stay current with Mercedes-Benz technical bulletins, updates, and training modules.
