An established technical installation company based in Stellenbosch is looking for a motivated and reliable AV Technician to join its experienced team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to develop their skills across a wide range of modern electronic, audio-visual, networking and security systems.
You will be involved in installations, maintenance and fault-finding at residential properties, businesses, restaurants, wine estates and other commercial sites.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure and troubleshoot Wi-Fi networks, internet distribution and mesh networking systems.
Assist with the installation and maintenance of CCTV surveillance cameras and access control systems.
Install and service intercoms, alarm systems and related electronic equipment.
Work with home theatre systems, sound installations and audio-visual equipment.
Install, maintain and troubleshoot DSTV and satellite television systems.
Assist with conference room AV systems, boardroom technology and commercial sound installations.
Carry out network cabling, equipment installations and general technical fault-finding.
Perform installations safely, including working on ladders and at heights.
Deliver neat, professional installations and excellent customer service
Minimum Requirements
Must be able to communicate in both Afrikaans and English.
Practical experience in networking, Wi-Fi distribution or electronic installations would be highly advantageous.
Experience with CCTV, intercoms, DSTV, sound systems or audio-visual equipment will be beneficial.
Must have reliable transport to and from work.
Comfortable working on ladders and at heights.
Physically fit and capable of performing practical installation work.
Technically minded with good problem-solving abilities.
Willing to learn new systems, products and technologies.
