AWS Cloud Engineer at Praesignis

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, build, and support secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure for a Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for provisioning and optimising AWS environments, implementing cloud security and IAM controls, supporting CI/CD pipelines and ensuring high availability and operational stability. Working closely with application, data, integration and DevOps teams, the AWS Cloud Engineer will enable the successful delivery and ongoing support of cloud-native banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and support AWS cloud infrastructure for the BaaS platform.
• Implement and manage secure, scalable and resilient cloud-native solutions.
• Provision, configure and optimise AWS services, including compute, storage and networking.
• Implement security controls, IAM policies and compliance requirements.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using DevOps best practices.
• Monitor cloud performance, availability and cost optimisation.
• Support integration between AWS, on-premise and third-party environments.
• Collaborate with application, data and integration teams to deliver cloud solutions.
• Provide operational support, incident resolution and environment maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, networking, IAM, security and cloud architecture.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation or Terraform).
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud monitoring, logging and cost optimisation.
• Experience integrating cloud and on-premise environments.
• Banking or financial services experience is advantageous.
• Relevant degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer) advantageous.
