Job Description

The Specialised Engineering team within the Chief Technology Office is looking for Cloud Engineers who can approach a problem with a novel approach and implement in an automated way.

Information on the team:

• The Specialised Engineering team designs and develops tactical and strategic solutions to solve problems common across multiple areas.
• The team actively evaluates and provides architectural guidance for Cloud based infrastructure, as well as hands on implementation of the environments.
• Providing consultancy and help to teams designing, developing and releasing solutions to Cloud based infrastructure.

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Providing consultancy and hands-on help to development teams designing, developing and releasing solutions to Cloud based infrastructure
• Provide hands-on support resolving issues with Cloud based infrastructure
• Advise on best practice when designing and implementing Cloud based solutions

Requirements:

• Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, Python, Atlassian stack
• Good communication skills and command of English
• Knowledge and practical experience in one or more of AWS, Azure or other Cloud solutions
• Desire and willingness to learn about multiple cloud technologies 
• Good knowledge of Linux or Windows systems administration
• Good knowledge of fault tolerant applications, infrastructure and application security, networks
• Knowledge or desire to learn about technologies such as Elastic search, EMR, Containers
• Ability to interact with senior internal and external parties independently and cooperatively
• Flexible and creative problem solver
• Ability to solve business challenges with code

Education

Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
